Karen began her nursing career at a Certified Trauma Center working with patients who had recently suffered a traumatic life event including auto accidents, strokes, falls that resulted in broken or fractured bones and/or mental status changes. Karen became a caregiver at a young age by following her aunt to the nursing home several times a week to help care for her aging grandmother. She then helped care for her aunt when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She credits her aunt for her passion in nursing. Karen enjoys working in case management because it allows her to assist clients with their rehabilitation at a time that can be very overwhelming.
