Mark Churella, Sr.
President and CEO
Mark Churella, is president and chief executive officer of The FDI Group Family of Companies. Mark oversees the strategic direction of the Novi-based insurance industry support services company. As president, he oversees the development and implementation of the enterprise investment strategy and provides direction to leadership functions and business organizations to meet the enduring needs of our customers in the United States and around the world.
Prior to this positon, Mark was appointed President and CEO of Financial Designs, Inc. in 1988. Under his leadership the FDI Group was established in 1990 to serve as the controlling entity of the growing number of companies. Today, there are nine affiliates thriving under the FDI Group umbrella which exemplifies his commitment of creative business development to bring the best solutions, the best people and the best service to the marketplace.
Mark entered into the industry in 1984 as an insurance agent in the family owned agency of Financial Designs, Inc. which was founded by his father, Robert G. Churella, Sr. in 1970.
A native of Farmington Hills, MI, Mark earned a B.A. degree from the University of Michigan in 1979. As a student at the University of Michigan he competed in wrestling and became the Universities only 3-time NCAA Champion. He is married and has three children.
Executive Vice President / COO
Bruce Stubbs is executive vice president and chief operating officer of The FDI Group claims management companies; ManageAbility, CompOne Administrators, and Startech Software. Bruce is responsible for ensuring that the appropriate people, processes and tools are in place to enable delivery of services and for building a culture of continuous improvement within the companies. As executive vice president, he integrates work across the core operations and quality assurance operations, and coordinates with other functions including Information Technology, and Risk Management, to support business success and provide value to customers.
Bruce began his career with The FDI Group of companies as vice president of sales in February 2005. He led efforts in sales and business development and was an integral member in the financial planning and reporting, pricing, estimating and cost management activities within the claims management companies. In 2006, Bruce was appointed to the position of executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Bruce joined ASU Group-Recovery Unlimited as an account executive in 1991. During his fourteen years, he held a number of posts finishing his tenure as vice president of sales in 2005. His experience included Managed Care Products, Independent Adjusting Services and Claims Administration in the P & C Insurance markets.
Bruce entered into the industry in 1988 as an account executive for work recovery, a rehabilitation and vocational provider.
Bruce is a member of the Knights of Columbus and spends his free time volunteering to help disabled children. He is a veteran of the U.S. Armed Services having served as a Military Police Officer. Bruce is a father of three children and is a native of the Chelsea, Michigan area.
Vice President of Operations

Vice President of Sales
John Bradley, is Vice President of Sales for ManageAbility. Appointed to his position in 2005, John reports to the COO and leads the corporate sales team on positioning the company to serve customers’ needs by gaining unparalleled customer understanding. His organization listens intently, advocates customer views, helps develop and resource customer solutions and drives all business capture efforts.
John is responsible for developing new go to market sales approaches that enable ManageAbility to best prioritize and maximize sales opportunities. In addition to focusing on sales approaches and strategies, he manages the opportunity development initiative’s, who seeks to identify and “qualify” emerging customers as well as develop working relationships with key market influencers in the managed care world. The ManageAbility team seeks to integrate best practices from these initiatives to assist sales teams develop unique strategies.
Prior to joining ManageAbility, John worked at a managed care organization in Michigan, as well as a Midwest health insurance carrier in Indiana. John entered into the insurance industry in 1997 and has been involved since. His knowledge base includes Medical Case Management, Vocational Rehabilitation, Medical Bill Review, Utilization Review, IME’s, Workers Compensation and Auto No Fault.
John is the current Vice President of the Grand Rapids Adjusters Association and actively involved in other associations such as the Central Michigan Adjusters Association, the Michigan Adjusters Association and the MSIA.
He currently resides in Hudsonville, MI with his wife and 3 children. In his spare time he enjoys reading and spending time with family. John earned his B.A. Degree from Cedarville College with a concentration in Marketing and Business Administration.
Utilization Review Supervisor
Marci is the Utilization Review Supervisor for ManageAbility. She leads a strong team of nurses, focused on reviewing medical bills for proper coding practices with an emphasis on the level of service, appropriate treatment, and relatedness to the injuries reported. Marci has 18 years of nursing experience and offers a wealth of knowledge to our clients in the workers’ compensation and personal injury arena.
Prior to joining ManageAbility, Marci was a Nurse Auditor for MedAudit Services for 10 years. She has extensive experience reviewing Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation claims for aberrant billing practices utilizing CPT and HCPCS coding rules, NCCI edits, ODG and surgical coding guidelines as well as medical policy research. She also specialized in the composition of in-depth record review reports and comprehensive comparison spreadsheets when necessary. Additionally, she trained and mentored new and existing coworkers in the nurse review department
Marci is a Registered Nurse and holds an Associates’ Degree from Great Lakes College (now Davenport University). She is also a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and an active member of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) since 2006. Additionally, Marci has been an active member of Michigan Association of Healthcare Auditors (MAHA) since 2007 and has served as the President of this non-profit organization since the spring of 2011.
Director of Bill Review
Jean is the Director of Bill Review for Manageability. She oversees our comprehensive analysis approach to bill review by leading our team of analysts to consistently achieve and exceed expectations in medical cost containment. With over 30 years in the insurance medical bill review and claims industry, Jean leads her team to put client satisfaction and cost containment first.
Before Manageability, Jean had various roles in Claims and Bill Review, as a Supervisor, Manager and a Business Analyst, where she specialized in Workers’ Compensation and Auto/PIP Claims. She was able to lead her teams to exceed production and quality goals. Also, by working with external vendors to meet the business needs of her department, she trained, led, and implemented work flow improvements and medical bill review solutions that directly impacted claims resolution.
Jean has participated in United Healthcare Training that covered coding and diagnostic procedures and review. She also participated in Dale Carnegie leadership training.
Technical Review Manager
Anna is responsible to oversee and lead the operations of the Medical Bill Review department, encompassing, claims submissions, charge entry, review of services/medical records in relationship to compensable injuries, medical coding, CPT/NCCI edits, application of state fee schedule rules and repricing reimbursement management, payment posting, and accounts receivable. Additional duties include customer service for Medical Bill Review clients as well as claims and software clients. Anna serves as the
Anna has over 36 combined years of experience in the medical, insurance and Workers’ Compensation/Personal Injury industry. She is knowledgeable in all aspects of Medical Billing and Medical Bill Review.
Prior to joining the FDI Group of companies in 1992, Anna worked throughout the medical services industry for 13 years, holding positions such as Medical Office Manager, Group Health Physician Biller, and Internal Medicine Medical Secretary.
A native of Southeast Michigan, she is married and “parent” of four – 3 rescue dogs and 1 rescue cat. Anna attended Oakland Community College and has a lifelong passion
